Fluidized Bed: Today’s standard when it comes to burning solid fuels (i.e., coal, biomass), a fluidized bed “bubbles” fuel and sand together to ensure an optimal fuel-air mixture, regulate uniform temperatures throughout the fuel bed, and reduce emissions.
Stokers: A stoker system burns lump coal. There are two main types of stokers: spreaders stokers and chain-grate stokers (also known as “traveling grate” stokers). A spreader stoker distributes a continuous feed of coal evenly onto the bed. A chain-grate stoker, on the other hand, feeds fuel to one area of the bed and then distributes it with a moving grate.
Thermic Fluid Heater: Thermic fluid heaters use a closed system of petroleum-based fluid as their heat-transfer medium. This design allows for consistent temperature control, good thermal efficiency, and minimal losses.
