	Cast Iron		Cast iron boilers are limited to low-pressure steam or hot water applications. Typically,  they range in size from 25 to 200 horsepower.

	Fluidized Bed		Fluidized bed boilers include bubbling fluidized bed (BFB), circulating fluidized bed (CFB),  and pressurized circulating fluidized bed (PCFB) products. Bubbling fluidized-bed boilers  are particularly efficient when firing fuels with low heating value and high moisture and ash content. Circulating fluidized-bed technology is a very flexible option for the clean  combustion of many fuels, including  waste coals, petroleum coke, and even shredded automobile tires. Pressurized circulating  fluidized bed boilers operate with efficiencies exceeding those of many conventional power plants firing pulverized coal. This technology has the potential to reduce the cost of energy  and further cut the emission of acid-rain gases in utility and industrial applications. In  addition to minimizing emissions of sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides, combined-cycle  PCFB technology permits the cost-effective firing of fuels that otherwise could not be used  in an environmentally acceptable manner.
	Radiant Boiler		Radiant boilers feature a single drum construction to overcome various limitations posed  by bi-drum boilers for high-pressure applications.
	Steam Generator		The heat exchanger used in some reactor designs transfers heat from the primary (reactor  coolant) system to the secondary (steam) system. This design permits heat exchange with  little or no contamination of the secondary system equipment.
	Water Tube		Water tube boilers have a heating surface that consists of a large number of relatively small -diameter tubes that contain the water. The heat is applied to the external side of the tubes.
